Studio52 HQ designed and built by the Team in Central London

The Studio 52 workspace was designed as a highly adaptable environment capable of supporting a wide range of activities, from focused design work to collaborative meetings and large-scale experimentation. Rather than defining fixed zones, the space is conceived as a flexible framework in which elements can transform according to the needs of the moment.

Along one wall, a series of fold-down tables provide primary work surfaces. When not in use they return flush to the wall, allowing the space to remain open. The suspended lighting above these stations is integrated into the mechanism itself, folding down to become structural legs for the tables when deployed. Opposite this, a continuous shelving gallery wall provides storage and display space for models, materials, and prototypes.

At the centre of the room, an organically shaped meeting table hangs from the ceiling and lowers when required, transforming the space into a collaborative setting. Above it, a sculptural light fixture functions almost as a chandelier, becoming a visual focal point within the otherwise restrained interior.

The rear wall of the studio can roll completely open, revealing the adjacent car park. This allows the workspace to expand outward for more practical or experimental testing. At the front of the studio, routed timber benches with integrated heating provide both seating and a subtle method of warming the entire space.
